I'm originally from Boulder, Colorado, but my heart found its home in Maui over six years ago during a solo trip. The island's magic captured me, and I decided to make it my permanent paradise. Before my move, I spent five fantastic years managing a tanning salon. During that time, I was lucky enough to receive spray tan training from Julie Nostrand, the visionary behind South Seas Skin Care – a go-to for over 3,000 film and television makeup artists, celebrities, and top-notch hotels and spas. Fast forward to April 2019, when I joined Maui Makeup Artistry as the office manager the instant connection I shared with Liz, the company's founder, was incredible. I find immense joy in orchestrating the beauty & coordination that unfolds to prepare a bride for her special day. And when it comes to spray tanning, I absolutely love giving my clients that extra boost of confidence that comes with a beautiful glow. Outside the office, you'll often find me at the beach, engaging in all things water-related – whether it's surfing, swimming, or hiking to Maui's breathtaking waterfalls. My commitment to creating beauty extends far beyond the workplace, making every moment on this vibrant island even more special.

Hello everyone! I'm Amber, a San Francisco Bay Area native with a passion for beauty that began right out of high school at the age of 17. With over 11 years of experience, I've discovered my true calling lies in bridal and event hair. Whether it's the calm and quiet buzz of elopements or the energy and excitement of a large wedding party, preparing my brides for their special day brings me immense joy. My expertise in the styling industry was cultivated through years at Drybar in San Francisco, where I not only gained hands-on experience but also took classes and trained one-on-one with industry experts. Serving brides in picturesque locations like Napa, Lake Tahoe, and throughout Northern California has further enriched my skills. Now, I am thrilled to extend my services to all the beautiful brides of Maui and other Hawaiian islands. Having embarked on my professional makeup journey at the age of 18, my artistic soul, inspired and nurtured by my grandmother, led me to fulfill my dreams of becoming a professional makeup and licensed cosmetic tattoo artist. Originating from the Bay Area of California, my makeup artistry career flourished in Maui, where I collaborated with major brands such as Benefit Cosmetics and managed one of the largest makeup counters for Estée Lauder Cosmetics. Dedicating five years to MAC Cosmetics, I not only honed my creative skills but also obtained multiple certifications. It was during my time at the Maui counter that I crossed paths with Liz, sharing a MAC certification and a love for the freelance industry. In 2015, I joined Maui Makeup Artistry, further expanding my expertise. My specialization spans the spectrum of makeup creations, from fresh face natural looks to soft and full glam sultry styles. With a diverse skill set and the ability to work with all skin tones and ethnicities, I provide brides and clients the confidence to embrace my unique style. My passion for the artistic realms of makeup and fashion grows with each client interaction, fueling a continuous journey of creativity and professional growth.

With 15 years of passion for makeup and beauty, my journey began at the MAC counter while in high school after Liz did my makeup for prom. Those moments of receiving and experiencing the artistic world of the industry ignited my desire to thrive in the cosmetic world, particularly in bridal makeup. My early background includes years at cosmetic counters and a rewarding five-year tenure at Sephora in Kaanapali, where I achieved certification in custom makeup applications. During my time at Sephora, I pursued excellence by attending Sephora PRO Artist training and auditions, eventually holding the position of Skincare Lead manager and Sephora Collection Ambassador. Serving as a lead makeup artist provided me the opportunity to collaborate with top luxury lines, receiving comprehensive training with each brand—a knowledge base that now enriches my current kit. My expertise extends to beauty makeup, spanning classic chic to soft glam, with a specialization in enhancing the beauty of clients of all colors. For over five years, I've freelanced with Maui Makeup Artistry, finding immense joy in delivering results that align with my clients' desires. My greatest fulfillment comes from the moment of reveal when clients express, "I love it so much, it's exactly what I wanted." I feel truly blessed to continue pursuing my passion.
